A NEW EXPERIENCE
IN-DEPTH PERSONAL COUNSELING

WHAT WE DO
The Physical and Mental Effects of Trauma Can Be Healed
Trauma and stress have a physical, emotional, and cognitive impact. We see clients who are experiencing the lasting effects of an overburdened nervous system; this can include PTSD or other common trauma-related disorders such as Functional Neurological Disorders (FND), Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures (PNES), chronic pain, illness, or addiction. All of these issues can be addressed using empirically proven techniques.
We take a "bottom-up" approach, working with you to first calm and relax your nervous system. This allows us to then focus on stabilizing your emotional reactions and on boosting your cognitive functioning, challenging negative beliefs about yourself and your relationship with the world around you. After that, we can focus on flourishing!
You and your therapist will work together to select from a number of specialties and treatment approaches to accomplish your goals. You can utilize a team of providers, each dedicated to improving your health by working with you individually. Options include meditation and relaxation training, Integrative Mental Health nutritional guidance, Dynamic Mindfulness, SSP (an auditory intervention that is designed to reduce stress and auditory sensitivity), EMDR, neurofeedback, expressive therapy, Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).
You can also work with a Certified Trauma Recovery Coach, receiving guidance and inspiration
either in-person or via video between visits with your therapist.
When we see our clients heal from trauma, we see them flourish in all areas of their lives!
